Eramosa Blocks Arrive For Canadian Investor

May 24th, 2011 in Case Studies

Last week the first two blocks arrived for a project we are supplying for a Canadian Investor. Suitably, the client has selected the beautiful Canadian dolomitic limestone, Eramosa. The project requires 250sqm vein cut 20mm thick cut to size for floors, a reception desk and some wall cladding. The balance of the blocks arrive in Carrara this week. Once these blocks are here they will be injected with resin, cut and honed.

It is a great project to be involved with, the finished result should be stunning. We will post the photos of the slabs when cut and finished.

Harrison Goldman Track Day - Brands Hatch

May 15th, 2011 in Track Days

On the 10th May we held a track day for Harrison Goldman Stone Consultants with whom we have worked for many years. The weather was perfect so we managed a full day of driving. Mark, Gary and Peter wasted no time getting to grips with the Clio Cup race car and its sequential shift and ultra stiff suspension set up. Peters blue Momo racing shoes looked the part but it was Mark Goldman who headed the group with Gary Tanner not far behind him!

    Project Harrods

May 5th, 2011 in Case Studies

Recently, after liaising for some time with both the architect and contractor we received an order to supply 1000sqm hard limestone for Harrods, Knightsbridge. We had to carry out extensive testing of the chosen material and subsequently ensure careful selection of the right blocks for this very prestigious project. The limestone was extracted from a very specific part of the quarry where the hardest and cleanest material is found. The test results on the actual material procured for the project have shown that this is a phenomenally hard stone as is necessary for what are very heavily trafficked areas. We are supplying both 800x800x30mm and 600x600x20mm tiles for two areas. See here the mock up for the 800x800mm tiles viewed a week ago.

    Atlantic Lava Stone

May 3rd, 2011 in New Stone

Our Atlantic Stone has a striking appearance, more like a marble but it is actually a lava stone therefore has ‘granite like’characteristics. It is not effected by acidic spills and is very, very durable.

We currently have a stock of polished and honed slabs in 20mm and 30mm. It is perfect for kitchen worktops, servery areas or vanity tops or floor or wall applications inside and out. In tile form, it is available to order in flamed, honed, sanded and polished finishes. We have recently supplied projects in Canary Wharf and Waddesdon Manor, Oxford.
