We supplied Atlantic Stone in a flamed finish for external areas at Waddesdon Manor, Windmill Hill. The research and archive centre and home for the philanthropic work of the Rothschild Foundation. Stephen Marshall Architects asked for a stone that had bullet proof technical credentials for external paving areas whilst being able to be textured for anti-slip but retain its colour. The Atlantic Stone fitted the bill perfectly with superb salt crystalization, absorption and frost test results. Also, its properties allowed us to flame the surface and so retaining its colour. The specifed tiles were 713x713mm with the flamed finish externally and highly polished tiles of the same size inside and bespoke slabs in bathrooms.
