April 15th, 2016 in Factory Visits, Quarry Visit

This week we took a trip the incredible quarry of Grigio Perla . With orders being placed imminently for the exciting Schroders London Wall project we thought it good to take a quick trip out to see the current extraction and discuss the project in more detail. This material is quarried in Turkey in the famous marble area of Bursa. To get to the factory it is a quick flight to Istanbul and then a ferry ride across the Marmara, and the company we work with owns both the factory and the quarry. There is a lot of Savannah Grey in bundles of slabs, blocks and tile production. They also quarry the famous stripy marble Marmara, and a few nice beige materials.

    White Flower Indescon Hotel

November 20th, 2015 in Factory Visits, Quarry Visit

Today we inspected production for the Indescon Hotel, which includes a specific selection from a large white marble quarry in Greece.
